Let SIL's Health & Wellbeing team help you develop your food provision and ensure it aligns with updated School Food Standards Guidance (February 2025).
The process supports you to celebrate what’s working well. It also highlights areas for reflection - helping you design and deliver nutritious, appealing meals for all children and young people in your school or setting.
Eating in school should be a pleasurable experience. The standards are designed to help children develop healthy eating habits and ensure they have the energy and nutrition needed to thrive throughout the school day.
Meals should be visually appealing, taste great, and be served in a welcoming environment where pupils can enjoy eating with friends.
Schools are encouraged to use fresh, sustainable, and locally sourced ingredients and staff should actively engage pupils in conversations about food, helping them make informed and healthy choices.
The standards also promote variety across the week and support the reduction of salt, saturated fat, and sugar in children's diets.
The entire process, including any pre-visit support, an on-site review and follow-up recommendations, is available for just £250+ VAT
We still have availability for this term, so please get in touch if you’d like to schedule a date with one of the team.
