Details of the 2025 pay awards for NJC staff and those paid under teachers’ terms and conditions have now been agreed.
The Government has confirmed a 4% pay uplift for 2025, effective from September.
The National Joint Council (NJC) pay award for 2025 has now been agreed as 3.2% on all pay points and associated allowances.
For settings using Liverpool City Council Payroll Services, payments at the new rates will be implemented in the August 2025 payroll, with arrears being paid back to April 2025.
New pay scales for NJC staff and those paid under teachers’ terms and conditions will be available soon.
Again, for those who use Liverpool City Council Payroll Services, arrears payments can be staggered for those in receipt of Universal Credit (UC) and who are concerned about the impact of backdated pay.
If staff would like to take up this option, please e-mail [email protected] with the following information:
All requests must be received by no later than Friday, 8 August, to ensure sufficient time for payroll processing.
Please note that payroll staff are unable to give advice as to how many months the arrears should be paid over, as this is an entirely personal decision.
The pay and conditions claim was submitted in June, and the National Employers will now undertake a consultation on the claim.
