The SIL Festival of Languages is taking place from 7–11 July 2025 and offers a unique opportunity for primary schools to engage pupils in fun, educational, and culturally enriching activities that highlight the joy of language learning!
To help schools prepare for their own celebrations, SIL is hosting an online session packed with practical tips and creative ideas for running a successful school-based Festival of Languages.
Educators are encouraged to attend and gain inspiration for making their language week vibrant and memorable.
In the lead-up to the festival, SIL will be sharing a range of pre-prepared activities to help schools kick-start celebrations.
These resources aim to make planning easier and ensure that every child can take part in the festivities.
We're eager to see the creativity and enthusiasm of schools during the festival week.
Schools are invited to share activities and highlights on social media by tagging @SIL_Languages on X or using #SILFestLang on your posts (across different platforms).
