The Department for Education’s updated statutory guidance for Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) was released in July.

What does it cover?
Delivered by PSHE specialist Julie McCann, this recording covers:
- Curriculum updates – including new strands on personal safety, online harms, and mental health
- Safeguarding priorities – tackling misogyny, violence against women and girls, and harmful online content
- Policy requirements – what must be in your RSHE policy and how to demonstrate compliance
- Pupil engagement – creating safe, inclusive learning environments
Parental engagement – transparency and consultation expectations
Things to consider
- These recordings refer to the DfE Statutory guidance on relationships education, relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education. It will be helpful to refer to the guidance when watching.
- Recordings will remain available until 31 August 2026 and can be revisited as often as you wish.
- This recording is included as part of the PSHE SLA 2024/25. Get in touch if you have not yet received your copy.
