New Statutory RSHE Guidance

The Department for Education’s updated statutory guidance for Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) was released in July.

This recording includes an overview of key changes to curriculum, safeguarding, policy and pupil & parental engagement -  all elements that will support schools on their journey to be compliant by September 2026.

What does it cover?

Delivered by PSHE specialist Julie McCann, this recording covers:

  • Curriculum updates – including new strands on personal safety, online harms, and mental health
  • Safeguarding priorities – tackling misogyny, violence against women and girls, and harmful online content
  • Policy requirements – what must be in your RSHE policy and how to demonstrate compliance
  • Pupil engagement – creating safe, inclusive learning environments
    Parental engagement – transparency and consultation expectations
