SIL's Early Years SENCo Award Train the Trainer

An exciting training opportunity for Early Years consultants, advisors, or trainers who are responsible for working with or supporting Early Years settings or practitioners, and who wish to train to deliver the SIL Early Years SENCo Award, which includes the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for SENCOs in Early Years.

What's included?

This training includes four in-person training days on how to effectively deliver SIL’s Early Years SENCo Award back within their own Local Authority.

As part of the four days delegates will explore the Early Years SENCo Award course materials and content. Delegates will also have the opportunity to consider how this course can be adapted to meet the individual Local Authority context.

Each delegate will receive a training licence for 2 years and access to high-quality electronic training materials.

They will also be supported by the programme leader, and they will receive a quality assurance visit during one of their planned training sessions For more information please contact: [email protected]

Why Attend?

  • the SIL Early Years SENCo Award has been constructed in collaboration with educators, training organisations, SEND professionals, setting SENCos and managers from the PVI Sector to ensure it is meaningful.
  • It has proven to inspire Early Years SENCos from across the PVI sector, offering Early Years practitioners both theoretical and practical support in their role as coordinators of SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).
  • On successful completion, participants will receive certification from SIL in recognition of their achievements.
  • Participants will also be accredited with the Level 3 CACHE/NCFE qualification ‘Special Educational Needs Coordinator in Early Years Settings’.

What will it cover?

  • Explore in detail the course content and materials
  • Discuss best practice for course delivery
  • Consider own LA context for delivery
  • Share key information regarding the Level 3 assessment and qualification

Please be aware the cost of the CACHE/NCFE accreditation for your individual learners when you deliver SIL’s Early Years SENCo Award within your own Local Authority.

SIL can work in partnership with LAs/trainers to support them to secure an assessor who would provide all assessment services, including qualification accreditation and registration, marking of assignments and assignment support for learners.

If delegates find it difficult to attend face to face in Liverpool for any of the above days, please contact Natalie Anderson via email: [email protected] to discuss possible options.
