Course Overview
This course supports experienced or newly qualified teachers to understand what effective teaching, learning and assessment looks like within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The sessions equip teachers who are new to the EYFS phase to enable them to plan, deliver and assess the early years curriculum to meet the needs of all children in their setting.
Why Attend?
Attending 2 sessions a term allows practitioners to fully understand and implement all aspects of the EYFS framework and assessments. Sessions are informative and networking with other teachers is also a valuable part of the course.
What will it cover?
· Develop understanding of the cycle observe, plan and assessing children’s learning and development.
· Gain knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
· Explore the role of the adult.
· Develop a stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
· Gain awareness of the developmental needs of children within this age range.
· Look at how planning activities and play experiences help secure progress in all areas of learning
Who should attend?
Teachers who are new to Early years or returning to early years after begin in another key stage.
Costs
One funded place per Liverpool Authority School with Early Years provision. £485 for additional places or for out of authority schools. Delegates must attend all six sessions
