Secondary English Network

Course Overview

This secondary English network meeting will explore some of the key challenges currently facing English departments, with a particular focus on technical accuracy, writing fluency and foundational writing skills across KS3 and KS4. 

The session will provide opportunities for professional discussion, sharing effective practice and reflecting on current priorities in English, including oracy, disciplinary literacy, curriculum development and the impact of AI on student writing. 

Alongside practical strategies and national updates, departments will also have the opportunity to consider how SIL LTD can support English provision and professional development in 2026.
