Reception Year Termly Network

Course Overview
The Reception Year Network provides a supportive and reflective space for Reception teachers and practitioners to deepen their understanding of child development and strengthen the quality of their EYFS provision.

Sessions will be responsive to sector needs and challenges but will include exploring assessment judgements in the Reception year, enabling practitioners to confidently interpret observational evidence, moderate learning, and align practice with current expectations. Participants will also engage with local and national updates, ensuring they remain informed about emerging priorities, research developments, and sector-wide changes affecting early years education. The network also includes guidance on relevant statutory requirements, helping practitioners to embed compliance within effective, child centred practice.

This course offers opportunities to collaborate with colleagues, share effective approaches, and develop consistent, high-quality practice across the Reception year.
