Course Overview
School Improvement Liverpool is pleased to offer an exciting training opportunity for Local Authority advisors or consultants wanting to train to deliver Cache accredited Level 2 Understanding the Needs of Babies and Young Children with SEND training.
This training includes two days of online training on how to effectively deliver Understanding the Needs of Babies and Young Children with SEND (Level 2) within their own Local Authority. As part of the two days delegates will explore the course materials and content. Delegates will also have the opportunity to consider how this course can be adapted to meet the individual Local Authority context.
Each delegate will receive a training licence for 2 years and access to high quality electronic training materials. They will also be supported by School Improvement Liverpool trainers, and they will receive a quality assurance visit during one of their planned training sessions.

Understanding the needs of Babies and Young Children with SEND is an opportunity for EY practitioners to build on what they know, learn new things and put into practice what they have learnt, to really make a difference to the lives of the children they work with. They will work towards a CACHE accredited level 2 qualification throughout their training. The training has proven to inspire practitioners working across the PVI sector, offering both theoretical and practical support in their role. This is an opportunity for EY consultants/trainers to be able to offer this exciting and meaningful training within their own local authority.
What will it cover?
How to deliver and support learners to successfully complete Understanding the Needs of Babies and Young Children with SEND training, enabling them to achieve the Level 2 CACHE qualification.
Delegates will:
· Explore in detail the course content and materials
· Discuss best practice for course delivery
· Consider own LA context for delivery
· Share key information regarding the Level 2 assessment and qualification details

Please be aware additional to the cost of this course will be the cost of the CACHE accreditation for your individual learners when you deliver within your own Local Authority. The decision about the awarding body is for you/team to make, currently SIL are working alongside REAL Skills.co.uk who can liaIse with trainers about the cost.
Each trainer will be responsible for liaising with their Local Authority to ascertain this process and how this payment will be collected.
The cost for the training includes single membership to SIREN films for the trainer to enable them to access educational film clips linked to the training.

£1100 per delegate for a two day course. Delegates must attend both days
