About the Organisation

Christ the King is a welcoming, faith-filled ambitious primary school in Wavertree, Liverpool serving a diverse, supportive community. Our mission — “We love, aspire and serve with Christ our King” — shapes everything we do. We expect every child to be known, nurtured and challenged to flourish academically, spiritually and morally. Our staff are committed professionals who place children’s wellbeing and personal development at the heart of their practice. Ofsted (Nov 2025) inspectors praised our strong personal development provision. Pupils are safe, confident and proud to belong here. Year 6 pupils leave well prepared for the next stage of their education.
We are a values-driven school: compassion, humility, justice and service inform how we teach and how we behave. Children benefit from a broad curriculum, excellent extra-curricular opportunities and strong links with our parish and families.

If you are a values-led practitioner who wants to contribute to a warm, high expectations school where professional development is prioritised and leaders support staff to excel, Christ the King could be the right place for you. You should be a committed to Catholic Education and put our Catholic ethos at the heart of all you do. We believe in the power of Catholic education to change lives, and raise aspirations.
