About WRAP WIRRAL School:
The School is an independent 39 week specialist day provision for boys and girls for students aged between 11 and 16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Beechwood, Wirral. 

We are an aspirational, exciting and innovative school with a strong desire to develop both students and staff.


We are a friendly school where staff are supportive of each other inside and outside of the classroom. 

We pride ourselves in ensuring all members of staff including our support staff have access to regular training. All our members of staff attend regular training on child protection; mental health and multi-agency working. All staff access a wide range of training on areas of SEN such as Autism, attachment and ADHD.

About the Role

We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our wonderful school and work with our exceptional students who experience a range of needs including SEMH and ASD. 

As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating and inspiring students within their studies. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver engaging lessons, foster a love for learning and support students in their academic journey. You will collaborate with colleagues to create effective lesson plans and provide a nurturing environment for students to thrive.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a scheme of work and planning to implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Utilise tutoring and mentoring techniques to support students in understanding subject concepts
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, incorporating techniques such as positive behaviour management techniques.
- Cater to the needs of students requiring special education or individualised attention
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative learning environment
- Provide care and guidance to students
- Utilise applied behaviour analysis strategies to enhance learning outcomes
- Foster a friendly atmosphere 
- Access to a pension scheme;
- Excellent CPD opportunities and access a wide range of training on areas of SEN such as Autism, attachment and ADHD;
- You will also work within an environment with people who believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things

Personal Qualities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
- Teaching certification (OTS) preferred
- Previous experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting
- Familiarity with special education needs practices and principles
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students of varying ages
- Passion for inspiring young minds
