We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Swimming Teacher to join our Health & Wellbeing Team, delivering high-quality swimming provision to schools across the city.
This is a rewarding role supporting children to develop essential life skills through swimming, water safety, and confidence in the water.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive school swimming lessons in line with National Curriculum requirements.
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit a range of ages, abilities, and needs, including SEND pupils.
- Support wider elements of the programme, including water safety education, top-up sessions, and aquatic competitions.
-Create a safe, positive and supportive learning environment for all swimmers.
- Keep accurate records, including registers, attendance, progress and relevant pupil information.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure sessions meet the needs of pupils and schools.
- Follow all safeguarding, health & safety and operational procedures, including emergency protocols.
- Attend relevant training and team meetings to support your professional development.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll be confident working with children and able to deliver fun, structured sessions that build skills and confidence in the water. Strong communication and organisation skills are essential, along with a genuine commitment to inclusion and high-quality delivery.
Level 2 qualified in teaching aquatics.
