Medical Needs Education provides the Section 19 support for mainstream pupils who are unable to attend their own school due to problems with health. This includes mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. A significant number of pupils also have a diagnosis of ASD and/or ADHD. MNE is committed to providing children with an education which enables them to receive the individual attention that they require.
Medical Needs Education includes Alder Centre for Education (Y9 to Y11), The Bridge (Y2 to Y8), Alder Hey Hospital Education and Home Tuition and is part of Sandfield Park School.
The successful candidates would be appointed to Sandfield Park School and while the post would initially be based in the ACE School base, if circumstances required, the person(s) might be expected to work across any area of the school

The Governing body would like to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic LSA to join the staff of this welcoming and supportive school. The person appointed would be expected to work primarily with pupils in Y9 to Y11 based at ACE. However, there may be the need to support younger pupils at The Bridge based at Ronald McDonald House.
