About the Organisation

Gilmour is a new primary school that has emerged through the amalgamation of the very effective partnership between the Infant Primary Schools in 2023-24. We are very excited about the journey and have a full commitment to ensuring every child has full access they need to support them through every stage of learning and beyond.

About the Role

The Governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated, conscientious
and enthusiastic person to join our cleaning team. The role will include: 
Carry out routine cleaning in accordance with set standards and routines. 
Assist with the locking and unlocking of school buildings and rooms under the direction of theSchool Caretaker. 
Carry out as necessary the replacement of user supplies (towels,
toilet rolls etc.) 
Assist as necessary with non-routine cleaning following incidents etc.
Use appropriate cleaning equipment and machinery. 
Identify and notify any damage to buildings and equipment.

Personal Qualities

Be able to read and follow instructions on cleaning materials.
Be able to work positively as a member of a team. Have some experience of domestic duties. 
Be able to lift and carry heavy cleaning equipment, furniture and rubbish as required.
Be enthusiastic, approachable, well -motivated and able to work on own initiative. 
Be aware of COSHH regulations. Be willing to participate in relevant training. 
Excellent organisational and time-management skills. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
The ability to maintain confidentiality. 
A positive attitude, demonstrating flexibility and good-humour.
