Early Years SENCo Award

An opportunity to train to deliver SIL's accredited programme, which includes the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award for SENCOs in Early Years.

  • Four days of in-person training, exploring course materials and content
  • Support on how to effectively deliver and adapt the award within their context
  • Access to high-quality electronic materials and ongoing support, plus a quality assurance visit during one of your planned training sessions.

Early Years SEND Advocacy 

For those who wish to train identified staff as Early Years SEND Advocates (EYSA). 

  • Sessions explore programme materials and content, ensuring you are confident in effectively delivering the EYSA programme within your context
  • It offers both theoretical and practical support whilst further developing skills, knowledge and understanding of SEND in the early years. 
  • Your practitioners will become well-equipped to support the role of the SENCO, helping ensure the best possible educational outcomes are achieved for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • The package includes a 2-year training licence, access to high-quality training materials and ongoing support.
£1950 +VAT including a 2-year training licence

Discounts may be available for LAs/Trusts with existing in-licence SIL trainers.

Designed for those who want to build capacity and deliver this programme in schools.

  • By attending specialist sessions, you will gain the skills, resources, and confidence to deliver SEND Advocacy training within your own networks.
  • A site licence enables you to cascade the training to agreed audiences.
  • Ongoing networking opportunities and quality assurance support from will ensure consistency and impact.
  • The programme complements Ofsted’s renewed focus on SEND and inclusion, the national curriculum review recommendations on adaptive teaching, and EEF research on effective SEND practice.

The Role of Leadership & Management as an Early Years SENCo

Designed for those wishing to deliver SIL's accredited programme, which includes the NCFE CACHE Level 4 Award in SEND Leadership and Management in the Early Years.

  • This qualification is aimed at Level 3 Early Years Practitioners in a private, voluntary, or independent setting 
  • Designed for those already working as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) role in an Early Years setting or those who wish to increase confidence in relation to leadership and management progression. 
  • This package includes a 2-year training licence, access to high-quality training materials and ongoing support 
£2490 +VAT, including a 2-year training licence

Supporting Babies & Young Children with Special Educational Needs

Designed for those seeking to deliver a high-quality, accredited training offer for those working with children under five.

  • Closely aligned with the SEND Code of Practice, particularly:

    5.4: ensuring providers have clear, robust arrangements for identifying and responding to SEN, with a strong emphasis on early identification and effective provision to improve long-term outcomes.
    5.5: promoting a workforce that is alert to emerging needs and able to respond swiftly and appropriately.
  • A well-balanced blend of theory and practical application to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills required
  • Shaped through extensive collaboration within the sector, ensuring content is relevant, practical and adaptable to a range of early years contexts.

Over 200 practitioners have completed the programme, leading to a level 2 CACHE accreditation.
