Attendance Quality Mark

Demonstrate a comprehensive and effective approach to promoting and improving whole-school attendance.

  • A structured self‑evaluation process across seven key themes, helping schools identify strengths and areas for development.
  • Supports leaders to embed inclusive, support‑first approaches that tackle barriers to attendance early.
  • Aligns with Ofsted’s 2025 expectations around leadership, culture, and engagement with families.
  • Encourages effective use of data to drive decision‑making, monitor impact, and shape targeted interventions.
  • Strengthens partnerships with families, staff, and external agencies to promote belonging and high expectations.

Attendance Review Package

An annual package of support, which includes a review and two progress visits.

  • Review and observation of key attendance procedures
  • Analysis - daily, weekly, termly actions and data
  • Effectiveness of strategy in collaboration with SLT
  • Written report with agreed next steps
  • Tailored recommendations and actions with evidence of impact
  • Guidance to create an attendance action plan
  • Progress visits focus on the impact of interventions and how they can be adapted and modified to further drive progress.
     
£1,250 +VAT per annual package
Online Course

Attendance Briefings for Networks

Providing settings with up-to-date knowledge of national and local attendance matters.

  • Sharing of good practice
  • Problem-solving and example scenarios
  • Discussion and advice on high-impact strategies

Suitable for Designated Attendance Leads (SLT), Attendance Officers, and Attendance Admin Staff. Venue to be agreed by the network.

Critical Friend Consultancy

Expert advice for Leaders to ensure compliance and quality in Education Welfare provision.

Themes could include:

Education Welfare Support PAYG

Tier 1, Tier 2 or Blended support is available for settings without an SLA or those in need of additional targeted capacity.

  • Single referral intervention support 
  • Targeted statutory casework for PA and/or SA pupils
  • Direct family engagement for PA/SA cases
  • Multi‑agency co-ordination
  • Assessment of barriers to attendance affecting PA/SA pupils
  • Data‑driven attendance analysis
From £55 +VAT per hour. (Available in 3.5 hour blocks across 39 weeks)

Single Attendance Review

A supportive, improvement process.

  • Review and observation of key attendance procedures

Single Attendance Progress Visit*

A supportive, improvement process.

  • Visit to observe and discuss school progress against all actions
  • Review the impact of interventions and how they can be adapted and modified to drive progress further
  • 3-hour site visit followed by a written report.

*Following reviews, the greatest impact is seen when there is a follow-up progress visit.

New to the Role of Designated Attendance Lead (DAL)

Developing the role of the DAL and becoming an Attendance Champion through advice and guidance.

  • Leadership and management of attendance
  • Effective whole school approach
  • Designing an effective school process
  • Maximise the impact of the first response process
  • Use of data
  • Sharing good practice
  • Annual cycle of actions to improve attendance

Can be extended to wider attendance team/officers.

£300 +VAT per delegate for all 3 sessions. Tailored sessions can be delivered for Trusts & Networks.

Meeting/INSET/ Workshop

A bespoke session on improving attendance for staff, governors or trustees focusing on key strategies.

Sessions could include:

  • Clarity on roles and responsibilities within the school
  • Data benchmarking against national indicators
  • Ofsted updates, and information on “Working together to improve school attendance” guidance  
  • Providing strong governance around severe and persistent absenteeism
  • Key questions to pose to leadership teams.
