Online Course

Practical Cooking SLA

High-quality practical cooking sessions are planned and delivered based on the needs of your school.

  • Children attend weekly lessons as part of the DT curriculum (cooking and nutrition) 
  • All equipment & resources provided
  • Develop culinary skills, to educate, inform and to help support children to lead a healthier lifestyle 
  • Meet the requirements of the National Curriculum 
  • Develop a whole school approach to food and nutrition 
  • Each child will be provided with a food and nutrition journal to record their progress and evidence of sessions
  • Each school will be provided with a resource pack, including knowledge organisers to allow for further embedding of skills and cross-curricular links.

Food Discovery

A suite of digital resources to support the development and delivery of practical and inclusive cooking sessions.

  • Meets the requirements of the Design & Technology Cooking & Nutrition curriculum
  • Clear progression from EYFS to KS3
  • Strengthens cross-curricular links 
  • Practical strategies, risk assessments, and templates 
  • Promotes exploration through the TasteEd approach
  • A powerful tool for developing and embedding food education.

School Food Review

A focused review of your school’s food provision, ensuring alignment with School Food Standards and identifying areas for celebration and reflection.

  • A pre-visit questionnaire to gather key information, for example, breakfast club provision, meal costs, and sample menus
  • An on-site visit by a food and nutrition advisor during lunchtime (1.5–2 hours)
  • Assessment of compliance with School Food Standards
  • Review of kitchen operations, including food served, and pupil engagement
  • Includes a written report that can be shared with Governors, alongside suggestions for follow-up support.
£260 +VAT per review

Taster Days & Workshops

Providing the opportunity for children & families to develop new skills.

  • Delivered by qualified staff
  • Participants build confidence with food and social skills
  • Activities could include one-off cooking in the classroom sessions for children or mealtime inspiration for parents
  • Link your session to special dates, events, or curriculum topics.
£Bespoke +VAT per session

CIEH Accredited Training

Undertake a range of environmental health training courses.

  • Delivered by experienced and knowledgeable staff
  • Build skills and confidence in your team
  • Train catering or wrap-around staff who handle or serve food with Introductory and Foundation Food Safety and Hygiene 
  • Help ensure the safety of those consuming food with Awareness of Allergens training
  • Adhere to Government regulations on food safety.

On-site delivery can be arranged for your Setting, Network or Trust.

From £100 +VAT per person.

Bespoke CPD & Training

Sessions can be linked to almost any subject and tailored to your setting.

  • Create cross-curricular links between cookery and other aspects of your curriculum
  • Enrichment for EYFS up to Year 13
  • Support to design & develop your DT curriculum.
